How your reading life shapes your building life.

I’ve read hundreds of books.

On architecture, Buddhism, business, martial arts, money, mastery, and mindset. I’ve learned that the best builders are always building themselves.

Here’s the thing about books: they don’t just inform. They transform if you read them with intention.

I’ve borrowed systems from Da Vinci, mindset from Musashi, cash flow wisdom from Mike Michalowicz, and timeless business clarity from The Diamond Cutter. I don’t treat any of them like gospel. I treat them like tools and I only keep the ones that fit my hand.

Reading didn’t make me a better builder overnight. But it gave me something just as important: perspective.

Because sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs don’t come from the field they come from the page.

Field Note:

Read like a builder. Apply like a master.
