The Builder's Prayer
- Gil Rosa

Not a plea for ease, but for endurance.
I stand before the builders of the past,
ready to continue our path.
May my hands be steady,
my mind stay sharp.
May every new task
inspire the next.
Let me approach each day
as if it were my first
with curiosity, not certainty.
Let me see the work as teacher,
the material as mirror,
the mistakes as part of the design.
When doubt appears,
may I return to breath.
When fatigue sets in,
may I remember the joy of making.
Let me build quietly,
without needing to be seen.
Let my presence be felt
in the strength of what remains.
And when this day is done,
may I set down my tools
as those before me did
with gratitude,
with care,
and with peace.
Field Note:
Every act of making continues the prayer that began long before us.
